HAPPY LAST DAY OF SUMMER!! Yup! It’s true. Today was the official last day of Summer 2014! I can honestly say it has been the BEST Summer of my life. I look forward to many more like this one with my family, my dog and my girlfriends. Oddly enough, it wasn’t blazing hot today but it was warm which is ideal here in L.A. So to honor the last day of Summer, I wanted to bring out one of my favorite two piece sets. Florals in the Summer never looked better don’t ya’ think?
Floral set : Bubbles Boutique
High top Sneakers: Converse
Denim long Sleeve: Bubbles Boutique
One of my favorite alternative rock bands is Cafe Tacuba and when I bought this set, it reminded me of their infamous song called “Las Flores”. Translation: The Flowers. Obvious right? So this outfit was actually inspired by this song because when I listen to it, I feel happy. I feel like a dreamer and a hopeless romantic. I feel like a little girl dancing her life away in a meadow full of flowers. I’m a huge, HUGE dreamer you guys and as crazy as this sounds, that’s just me.
One of the things that had me sold with this floral set, were the side pockets on the shorts. Apart from that, the shorts were long enough to cover the booty. Lately, when it comes to short shopping, everything shows the booty and well its not so much MY cup of tea. So with the shorts on this set, it was long enough to cover but short enough to look cute.
For this playful look, I wanted to keep it PLAYFUL. Which is why I went with the most classic sneaker of all time, chucks! They never, EVER fail. To keep the look even more classic, I decided to bring out my high tops. I added the denim around the waist to give it an even more casual look and make the colors pop.
So for this shoot, we had to move locations because the sun was DIRECTLY hitting me that I couldn’t even open me eyes as you clearly saw above. But as cute as that pink wall was, we were able to find this cute little spot, with a lighter shade of pink and an uber cute doorway to what seemed to be a secret garden. Okay I’m just kidding, it was a home but still, it reminded me of a cute garden entrance.
Not only is tomorrow MONYAY, the beginning to a NEW week but Tuesday will be the first day of FALL!!!! FINALLY!!! My favorite season of all. Although here in L.A. we won’t start experiencing the cold until much later in the month or even October, I’m excited to simply start showcasing Fall colors. It’ll be a fun and interesting style month. Hope you ladies enjoy tonight’s post. I’ll see you back here tomorrow with my first fall outfit. Until then, sweet dreams my lovelies. Hope you had a beautiful & stylish weekend! Xx

I AM. I am ALIVE! I am HAPPY! I am chasing my wild rabbit and busting my little tush to find life’s treasures! I am OFFICIALLY BACK! I AM LIVING!!! You have no idea how good it feels to log on to my baby blog, ready to restart & refresh where I last left off but with an even bigger vision. God above knows how much love I have for this. God above knows how much passion I have for simply writing about what I LOVE! This has nothing to do with following the crowd, with following the latest trends or “fitting in”. This is me LIVING my life with the purpose of inspiring you girls to chase, like Levi Maestro would say, “chase your own wild rabbit.”
For tonight’s post, I wanted to once again share my love for comfort, simplicity and sneakers! L.A. has been on a whole other level of hot & humid lately so I decided to bring out one of my favorite skater dresses. This baby has saved my life so many times. It’s short, fun & flirty. The whole ballerina silhouette sold me. Best part, it’s black! You can never go wrong with black!
To keep me from the blazing sun rays, I decided to bring with me a cap. “Living” is a design piece by Levi Maestro. When I first came across one of his videos on YouTube, I fell in love with his persona. The man is a visionary. A creator. A motivator. A hardworking man with nothing but a positive outlook for the future. When you hear him speak, you can’t help but feel inspired. You can literally feed off his positive energy just by listening to him off a computer screen. So of course, I couldn’t help but support his POSITIVE movement to LIVE LIFE! It’s all so beautiful and I am a proud supporter of people who make what they love and do good.
I was purposely going for a major BLACKOUT outfit today because I wanted all the focus on my sneakers. After months of searching, I finally found a pair of these babies AND in my size! I am obsessed (aren’t I always?). HA! Seriously though, BEYOND COMFORTABLE! Wow! I feel like I’m walking on fluffily clouds. To finish off the minimal look, I wore my favorite style of sunnies, aviators and a few side bracelets.
Hope you dolls enjoyed my first post back from a VERY long break! It’s been months but now that I’ve gotten rid of a lot of things that were holding me back from LIVING my life the way I wanted, you will see me post A LOT more! Tomorrow is MONYAY!!! Yes, MON-YAY!! Every day counts, including Mondays so make it count! LOVE YOU GUYS! And a huge thank you to all that kept coming to visit my blog. IT’S AMAZING! I feel so blessed and humbled to have your support! THANK YOU!

When it comes to fashion in L.A., all you can truly do is to wear what YOU love. Trends here come and go faster than the speed of light. So stay true to what you like and feel comfortable in it. Despite what you see on my blog, I will normally be found in T’s, shorts/jeans and a pair of sneakers! It’s an automatic go-to. Whether I’m at work or at school, I’m always on the go! Walking is on my daily schedule. So naturally, I gravitate towards comfy shoes on a daily basis…to me that would be sneakers!
Top: DTLA Alleys
Skirt: Forever 21
Sneakers: Jordan 3
This past Sunday was one of those let’s ditch the heals and call it a day! I wanted to just relax in my favorite sneakers and keep it cool. It was fairly warm and although faux leather wasn’t the best choice, thank God for air conditioning. I can honestly say I’ve worn and re-worn this outfit a million times and never got around to shoot it until now.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, my style is very eclectic. I like a lot of things and even more so when I feel confident in them. I normally don’t post a lot of outfits of the day in sneakers but quite frankly, sneakers and the casual looks are a huge, HUGE part of my wardrobe. It’s a big element in my style that finally needed to be showcased. This outfit in particular is the easiest go-to casual for a day in L.A. Comfy without loosing it’s cool trendy style.
Graphic Ts are an ultimate favorite of mine and they’re usually my type of “basics”. They’re fun and add a lot of personality to an outfit. I paired my 90s tank with my faux leather mini to add edge and compliment the leather on my sneakers. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3! My looks tend to be simple but that’s just because that’s how I am…simple!
Hope you all had a beautiful weekend and an even more beautiful start to your week! I’m so happy to be blogging again! I haven’t done so in a while because I had school and lately, I’ve been coming home to sleep my life away. Work has me feeling like I need to retire soon. (HA!) Anyway, LOVE YOU GUYS! Thanks for stopping by and until our next outfit adventure…!
Before I begin this post, let me just say to all the ladies that come here to find outfit inspirations, THANK YOU for choosing me as an outlet to inspire you! It’s a blessing to me to be an option. There’s so many unique styles out in the world and I feel so humbled that I can help inspire at least one of you. So thank you my lovies! You have no idea how happy it makes me feel to be able to help.
Romper: Bubbles Boutique
Oxfords: Cole Haan
Denim Jacket: H&M
Lately, I’ve noticed that I’ve secretly been having a love affair with denim…at least my recent outfits of the day prove that. Have you noticed? I know I did just NOW especially with this denim jacket that I bought at H&M online. It was on sale, originally priced at 30 something dollars. I however paid $15. Quiet frankly an AMAZING investment because it’s a year round staple. I’ve worn and re-worn this jacket a million times and I can’t stop. It’s becoming a go-to for every outfit I wear. So much I think I need to give it a break!
Many of you ladies might have already notice that I tend to own a lot of clothes that have details that are statements within themselves. This romper is a perfect example. The thing that drew my attention towards this outfit was the fabulous and beautiful print. It looks vintage. Very Versace. In specific, it reminds me of the baroque era back in the 1600s where it was first discovered in Rome, Italy (Thank you History 102 for teaching me something). However, when I flipped it around, I totally fell head over heels. I’m a sucker for secret body exposure. It adds that perfect “Oomp” to an outfit that makes people turn heads. This baby had to come home with mama.
Sunday is usually my day off from work. It begins with mass with my family and right after, a day out with my boyfriend. Since I woke up extremely tired this day, for a comfy chic day out, I put on my favorite oxfords. Although very slippery here and there, they are still THE COMFIEST IN THE WORLD! If you ever want to invest good money on a pair of shoes, specifically flat shoes, I suggest Cole Haan! I bow down to this brand…AMAZING!
I know floral prints are the craze for spring but if you’re not much of a flower girl, I suggest trying different prints like this one. You’d be surprised on how much you would actually like it…I know I was! :) By the way, this outfit looks A LOT better with a high bun. I ended up picking my hair up after this shoot and I loved my outfit even more. Oh well! I’ll save the capture of the high bun for our next post ;) Hope you’re having a fabulous Tuesday my darlings! <3 Until our next adventure…!

With a month and two days left to welcome our Summer Solstice, Los Angeles has been giving us a little preview as to what to expect this Summer 2014. This past week, we were in the high, HIGH 90s. But this girl is NOT complaining one bit. Despite being born in Mexico and coming to the states at 3 years old, I have grown big love for this state! L.A. is HOME and I consider myself a Cali girl with Mexican roots. Which, before I get carried away, I am happy to have been raised here without never, EVER forgetting where I came from. Very proud to be Latina & Mexicana. So naturally, as a Cali girl, I’ve been ADORING this Cali breeze and heat!
Dress: Bubbles Boutique
Denim Vest: Ross (Last Summer)
Shoes: Lola Shoetique (Last Summer)
This past Saturday, my boyfriend & I were on a family reunion. We were all gathering to celebrate one of the many nephews he has. It was his 8th birthday [Happy Birthday Aidan!] So you know what that meant..OUTFIT OF THE DAY! I love playing dress up and even more so when I actually have somewhere to go and socialize! Besides, who doesn’t love kid’s birthday parties? The candy, the games, the bonding, the treats, the cakes & pastries, the memories…let’s not forget the AMAZING FOOD… *drools* It was a good day! :)
When Saturday came around, the temperatures dropped significantly, however, since the birthday party was in Palmdale, CA the weather up there was still bound to be warm….And indeed, Saturay was a warm beautiful day and I felt like embracing this Spring warmth with this beautiful white dress. White was the perfect color to keep me looking chic and keeping my cool. I bought this dress a few days ago and all the lace detailing had me SOLD! The minute I tried it on, I felt like an angel…a goddess! Ugh!! I’m so obsessed you guys. So feminine. So sexy. So chic. So BEAUTIFUL. Best part, you can pull off day & night summer looks!
I’m not going to lie, although I’m more than positive that what I’m wearing is a SHORT dress, I was a little hesitant to buy it because I thought maybe it was a top on account of how short it felt. Thank goodness I own one of those seamless slip-shorts that go underneath dresses/skirts. My slip-shorts have a lace detailing which was perfect for this dress because it complimented the lace on the sides…And voilà! I added a denim jacket to give the look a more casual look and avoid being so bare. I wore my favorite, comfy wedges to add a different tone of color. Hope you enjoyed this post ladies! I’m off to bed because it is already Monday and I have work in a few hours! Wish you all a beautiful start to an AMAZING week! Remember: Your day will be what YOUR attitude decides to embrace & react to! Until our next outfit adventure…ta ta ladies! <3

Hi lovelies! Before I get into my outfit of the day, I want to wish all the momma’s out there a VERY Happy Mother’s Day! Hope you’re having a WONDERFUL & BLESSED day with your loved ones & little ones. Definitely can’t wait to be a mom one day, but for now, I celebrate with you all. Super blessed to have a superhero mom of my own. She’s my Queen & best friend. The one who believes in all my dreams and pushes me to move forward. I can’t thank God enough to have blessed me with a selfless warrior! I LOVE YOU MAMI <3
For today’s fashion post, I wanted to go for a very casual, L.A. vibe outfit. After mass, I spent the day at my boyfriend’s house to celebrate mama’s day with his side of the family. Don’t worry, I didn’t neglect my mom. We actually celebrated Mother’s Day on May 10 because that’s the official date for us in Mexico…and well since we’re Mexican, we keep that tradition going. Even though she gets showered with love on both days, Mexican & American dates.
With that said, let’s talk FASHION! Lately, I’ve had a huge…HUGE obsession with Palm trees. I think it might be because Summer is right around the corner and well, I do live in Los Angeles, city of a million palms. Lately with our hot & breezy weather, they look like they’re dancing around when the breeze hits them. So beautiful! They truly make me oh so happy! So clearly, with all those emotions, when I saw this top, you can only imagine my excitement.
Another thing I loved about the top was the peplum fit. The print is totally Cali cool and thanks to the peplum fit, I was still able to embrace femininity. So cute!!! Instantly I knew I wanted to pair the top with white pants to keep the look chic. I added the denim jacket around my waist to give my whole outfit a pop of casual. What’s more casual than denim right? And as usual, my favorite strappy heels.
So there you have today’s post. Can’t wait to re-wear this top and show you guys a different way to style it. I think this might be my favorite top & PRINT for this Summer. Now I need to get a pair of shoes with this print. I already have the one’s I want in mind, just need to find my size *sigh*. Anyway, Happy Mother’s Day to all my fashionista mami’s. Thank you for stopping by blog ladies. I’m so appreciative of the support. THANK YOU!

With Summer right around the corner and Coachella coming to an end a few days ago, I just could not wait ANY longer to wear this cute little dress! I’m absolutely loving the fit!
For the past few days, I was seeing A LOT of inspired looks to dress appropriately for the Coachella festival…which in turn inspired this look. Although a lot of the looks I saw were boho florals, raver bright and even relaxed cowboy/indian fringe, I was even more inspired to just be simple and do a MAJOR black attack. I guess what they say is true, change is the new BLACK! :)
I absolutely love everything about this dress. The flared fit, the material, the comfort, the fact that it did not fit me LONG and of course, the caged midriff that I find ‘oh so sexy’ without overdoing it. This dress is definitely on the top of my Summer wardrobe and I cant wait to wear it more often.
Although the bare midriff is not too overwhelmingly sexy, I decided to throw on this chiffon Kimono to be a tad bit more “discrete” and add femininity. I came across the kimono a few weeks ago while I was out shopping at H&M and marked at a $15 price tag, I could not pass it up. It’s really a good investment because a kimono like this one is ideal for the summer days. You can add so much more personally to bathing suits and even help cover up those tiny short shorts you have.
To finish off the look, I wore the usual arm candy & ring party on my hands. I decided to ditch the heels and knew I had to opt out with combat boots. You can never go wrong with a black pair of boots to add edge to a cute little outfit.
Hope you ladies enjoyed this post. It’s MONDAY!!! I know many people dread it but look at the bright side, it’s the beginning of the week and a GREAT opportunity to start out fresh! Make it count.

So I wasn’t really in the tropics (tropical island) for Easter, CLEARLY!!! BUT my top totally made me feel like I should have been. Hope you all had a very BEAUTIFUL Easter Sunday. After Easter mass, my day was spent in with take-out and at my boyfriends side. While he studied for an exam, I watched movies and did a few chores. It was a relaxing Sunday. A girl can never complain of spending time with the one she loves :)
When I think of Easter, apart from the biblical meaning of it, I think of bunnies, baby chicks, sweet candy, CHOCOLATE, children and lots of egg hunting. Let’s not forget the fashionable side of Easter, pastel colors, floral dresses, light-weight cardigans and sandals. However, this year, I wanted to change it up a bit and wear the complete opposite. I chose to go with bold colors.
When I decided to style the two pieces together, I took a look at my outfit and I was instantly reminded of Frida Kahlo. Of course, I’d like to think this outfit would represent her style in a more chic way. What do you think?
I’m so in love with this top. Everything about it is so pretty. The colors, the parrot design, the boxy fit and even the fabric of the top. It’s so soft. It’s also great because it has a casual but high-end look to it, MAJOR plus! Another thing I love about the top is that I can easily dress it down for a day out. It’s a perfect statement piece for a day at the beach, a stroll in the park and even to take on vacation. The colors are beautiful and perfect for this upcoming Summer!!! It’s such a happy shirt and it makes me feel like I will brighten anyone’s day….at least it did to mine :)
A few posts ago, I remember describing my style as eclectic. It’s extremely versatile and I love that about it. As long as I want to and feel comfortable, I am willing to try new styles. Not so much because they are on trend but because I actually like it when I try it on! Which brings us to the midi-skirt! This is my first time owning a midi-skirt and I chose this one in particular because it was pleated. I felt like it added a little more sophistication and femininity. I know this skirt will come in handy A LOT, all occasions, including church. Major plus! +
To finish off the look, the shoes that never fail, black single sole heels. I can’t even express how much use I’ve gotten out of these babies. It should be a crime to wear them this much but I can’t help it, they work wonders. I think if Audrey Hepburn were still alive, she would totally approve!
Hope this Easter was a magical one, spent with those you love most. May God almighty continue to bless all you beautiful ladies in joy, faith, patience, strength and above all, LOVE! Remember: He loves every single one of you and this Easter, He offers the greatest gift of all, His unconditional LOVE. Take it and walk with Him daily. God has risen! He is alive more than ever and He will NEVER fail you!

Thanks to him, all this is possible :) I love you Baby King!
Remember a few posts ago, I mentioned that I recently started reading during Sunday mass at my church? Well, yesterday, which was Palm Sunday, was finally again my turn to read and a GREAT opportunity for an outfit. Not to get carried away from fashion but I must say, reading at church makes me so immensely happy! I know its “just” reading to some but to me, it’s more than that. It’s an opportunity to share God’s fruitful word, feed my own faith and to share HOPE to everyone sitting in those pews looking for new light & change in their lives! It’s a blessing to be able to have this experience. With that said, let’s move on to my outfit adventure..!
Every Sunday, I attend mass with my family and every Sunday, it’s an opportunity to pull out my best attire, throw on some heels and embrace simple-chic! Yesterday was no exception. I went with a very basic, conservative and polished look. This outfit of the day is what I like to call, “match-up”.
About a month back, I came across these pants and…you know the drill, I LOVED them! What don’t I love right? Anyway, these pair of pants are nothing I own in my closet and I knew it was a beautiful pair to own for Sunday mass or a lunch-date during the summer walking around shops on 3rd street Promenade. Ditching the heels and switching to camel sandals of course. Perhaps a fedora too? Beachy-fab!
Keeping in mind that I would be in church, I didn’t want to wear anything that brought more attention to my clothes than the readings. Which is why I wanted to go with a basic white blouse for these print pants. However, I got lucky because I came across this top a few days ago and I knew it would be the perfect match for these pants. It’s exactly what I wanted, versatile, basic but the navy blue trim was the perfect touch of sophistication and personality that it needed.
The look and colors were very neutral despite the amount of print these slacks had. I wish you guys could touch them, they’re so silky soft and EXTREMELY comfy. I threw on these go-to single sole heels that never fail me to help elongate my legs and add femininity to my pink toes.
I threw on this white linen blazer (you will see this blazer more & more as the seasons progress) to add more sophistication. Although I hate how easily linen wrinkles, It’s seriously a must have piece. Especially for Summer weather. To finish the look, I threw on a few “gold” pieces. Some of my favorites to be exact!
Hope you ladies enjoyed this post and I apologize about the hair! It never seems to look as pretty in pictures as it does in person…Booo! Waaa!!! haha But I promise, I will work on that. Anyway, it’s the start of Holy Week for some of us, so if you’re Catholic & Christian, may you have a WONDERFUL Holy Week. Stay away from all negative and use this week to take initiative to change your life. Seek to be better and let go of all judgements & hatred. LET GO & LET GOD! You won’t regret it! For the rest of you ladies, may you have a BLESSED week! Tootles my lovies!

Tried to be a little clever with the name of my post today…Hope you guys caught that. After all, I did wear olive slacks with a pair of my newest obsession & style of shoes, peep toe mules!
For yesterday’s outfit of the day, I wanted to wear something lightweight and feminine. What’s more feminine than crochet-lace right? I decided to re-wear my ‘oh so sexy-chic’ lace top that I wore in one of my V-day outfit ideas. I’ve gotten a ridiculous amount of compliments for this top. It’s so comfy, lightweight, romantic & sexy. I love that I can dress this top up or down without loosing some elegance.
For this look, I wanted to embrace neutral colors which is why I complimented the ivory top with these olive slacks. I bought these pants over a year ago, or more, at a local warehouse here in Downtown L.A. It’s one of my favorite spots because they carry a lot of Forever 21 closeout items for more than half the price. I score these babies for just $5 bucks. BRAND NEW! A STEAL DEAL!!!
To finish off the look, I decided to bring out my new style obsession in shoes…MULES! This is my very first pair that I own and I’m in COMFORT LOVE!!! They are ridiculously comfy, cute and versatile. I’m so happy with this purchase because they don’t look cheap and I found them at a reasonable, affordable price. They are part of Forever 21 current spring collection essentials, found HERE. Definitely won’t be my only pair. I’m already on a hunt for another pair :))
Well my lovely ladies! I hope you enjoyed this post. I kept it sweet & short because I’m currently on my lunch break. It is BLAZING hot today in L.A. So far it’s been a GREAT day! Hope yours is too wherever you may be! HAPPY MONDAY LADIES!!! :)

Hi Lovelies! It’s been quite a while since my last post. So much has been going on that I’ve hardly had any time for myself. I’m on a “school, work, church, family and business” kind of schedule. It’s been a good productive couple of months. I can’t complain. I’m BLESSED! Anyway, the last time I posted, we were still on a Winter time frame and now…we’ve welcome a new beautiful season, Spring! Yes ladies! It’s time to bring out the florals, the colors and the sandals!! So excited to show you guys all the outfits I have in store. So let’s begin with a little Spring Blues… <3
During the Spring season, we are accustomed to see a lot of floral prints. The more the merrier. Personally, I am a HUGE flower lover. You can call me “flower child”. I ADORE them. Flowers make me oh so happy and whenever I receive them, it makes me feel BEYOND beautiful & special. So if you ever want to gift me something, FLOWERS! They will never fail to make me happy and feel loved!
For yesterday’s outfit of the day, the weather in Los Angeles was BEYOND beautiful. It was warm with a slight breeze. The skies were blue and the sun shining down brightly. It was the perfect excuse to bring out this dress. The floral print made me think of Summer in Hawaii (not that I’ve ever been) BUT, I knew it was a good choice to make a spring statement.
This dress became an instant must have, not only because navy is a newly found favorite color, but also because of the deep V-cut. When it comes to skater dresses and other dresses with some sort of flare, its inevitable for me not to look like I’m 15 years old. So when I saw that the dress had a V-cut, I knew it would add an “oomph” that said, “Hello Twenty-Something year old”. In other words, I am a grown woman.
The floral on this dress (peonies) are a huge statement that I definitely did not want to throw on crazy accessories (not that I ever do). Just a few simple gold rings, a couple bracelets to avoid the word “bare” and of course, a linen blazer to polish the look. Clearly, for a relaxing day like it was yesterday in L.A., I wanted to ditch the heels/wedges. I kept the relaxed look and threw on my pair of white chucks. Who said girls can’t wear dresses with sneakers!
So there you have my Sunny day in L.A. outfit post. I’ve missed writing and posting for your guys so much! Tomorrow is the first day of April and I can’t wait to show you ladies all of my outfit adventures. Until next time my lovelies…oh and for all you ladies who have been faithful followers, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I humbly appreciate all the positive feedback! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Nothing makes me happier than to be able to help you guys with my ideas and share my style into your wardrobe.

It’s that time of the year again, well if you’re Catholic anyway. It’s Lent, better known as 40 days to “give up” a pleasure or habit. Nonetheless, I want to clarify as to what Lent is meant to be or at least to me. Everyone who participates during lent, Catholic or not (I don’t understand why you would partake in lent if you’re not Catholic haha but its okay) for 40 days and 40 nights gives up something to what we call “bettering ourselves”. HOWEVER, lent is a time of reflection. It is a time period where, for 40 days, you acknowledge and look for a new way to approach life as a whole.
Hi ladies!!! I’m back and this post comes with a story…don’t they all? Now, this story isn’t Disney’s Peter Pan but, there is a peter-pan! A few months ago, I was attending mass with my family when a lady came up to me and asked if I knew how to read in Spanish. I said yes and of course, she asked me if I would like to volunteer to read to the children, while they’re parents listened to the Gospel in church. Long story short, a few weeks later, a different lady heard me reading to the kids and asked if I wanted to volunteer to start reading during an actual mass. In other words, inside the church, in front of 100+ people and on a microphone. I was nervous and scared to say yes but something inside me wanted to do it so badly. I felt like it was a calling from God to strengthen my faith. After weeks of practice and bible study meetings, yesterday was finally the big day and I needed something to wear! Say hello to my latest fashion post, Peter Pan Peplum.
-Peter-Pan Peplum top found at Ross
-Harem slacks from Steve Madden
-Heels from Go Jane
When it comes to fashion in church, I do my best to dress respectfully of others and more importantly God. Now, this doesn’t meant that I become or try to pretend to be something I’m not because everything I wear, I do so with confidence and because I like it. My style is very eclectic. Universal. I don’t always stick to a certain look. I like to go from chic, to street, to sexy and feminine. It’s so much fun for me to experiment with new things and even better when I like it.
For yesterday’s look, since I would be reading in front of an audience in the altar, I wanted to make sure my outfit was conservative without loosing femininity. I didn’t want to go out and buy an outfit. So I browsed my closet and came across this peplum top. I think I’ve worn this top once in my life and I thought it was the perfect excuse to bring it out and style it. For this day, I knew I wanted to wear slacks and so I chose to re-wear my only and favorite black slacks from Steve Madden. These are ridiculously comfortable and they’re a go-to staple piece when I don’t know what to wear but I don’t feel like looking so under-dressed. I purposely chose the two to pair together because I wanted to give the illusion that it was a peplum jumpsuit. Hit or miss? I think I nailed it.
To finish off the look, I went with classic ivory single sole heels. They were perfect to compliment the belt around my waist and of course the peter-pan collar on my top. I loved it. I felt so lady-like and chic in this outfit. I only accessorized with a belt and of course a cross-gold bracelet that my co-worker gifted me on my birthday last year. I did add a blazer to polish the look even more but I forgot to capture it in pictures because it was a tad bit hot outside. (Sorry!)
So there you have it my darlings. Hopefully this post help demonstrate that just because you’re going to church you don’t have to under-dress or even dress in something you don’t like. You can still look FAB and fashionable! …and if you’re wondering how I did with my reading…IT WAS GREAT! I received a lot of positive feedback after mass and I’m really, REALLY happy! Definitely can’t wait to do it again! Night night loves! See ya’ll on Wednesday’s Outfit Adventure!

…And just like that, Valentines Day 2014 flew right before our eyes. Hope you all had a very BEAUTIFUL Valentines Day. Whether you spent it with your family, your girls, your children or that special someone in your life…I hope it was one where loving memories where made :) Today I bring you a late post. This was the outfit I chose to wear the day I stopped by my boyfriend’s house to surprise him and ask him to be my Valentine. Which by the way, he said, “YES!” *raises hands in the air*
-Denim Overalls gift from a Friend (Thanks Delia♥ )
-Lace top from Fashion Street LA (Coming Soon)
-Heels from Go Jane
For this outfit of the day, I was inspired by one of my co-workers whom I have learned an incredible amount of mixing & matching (Thanks Sunny!) She actually was the one who influenced this outfit of the day when I saw her dressing one of our mannequins a few weeks ago. Thanks to her, this turned out to be the perfect casual-romantic look for a day out. This lace top is soooo BEAUTIFUL! It embraces romance in every way. The turtle neck details and exposed back is absolutely sexy without being so provocative.
Growing up I remember having a pair of ‘Tweety Bird’ overalls and I must say, they were one of my favorite. A few months back, a coworker & friend told me she wanted to give me a pair of overalls that no longer fit her and she thought they would be perfect for me to own. When she gave them to me, I totally fell in love. I know the “oversize” trend is in right now, even in overalls but I actually liked these a lot because they were fitted. The tight fit was great for a polished casual look.
So there you have the latest look. For all you ladies who are afraid to try new things and experiment with different styles/trends…DON’T BE! Trying new things, missing and failing are the keys to success in anything you do in life. Sometimes you need to try, try and TRY to find your niche, even in fashion. So, NEVER be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
HAVE A HAPPY SUNDAY LOVIES!!!
